Xcel Energy on Tuesday approached MN regulators to approve a $102 million set of transmission upgrades in order to help lower congestion and bring more renewables to the upper Midwest. Included in the project is the install of a second circuit on two segments of the existing Brookings County-Hampton transmission line.
