In its 2023 Sustainability Report, First Solar self-reported that it encountered forced labor in its supply chain at a facility in Malaysia. They had conducted three onsite third-party audits at its manufacturing facilities in the US, Malaysia, and Vietnam as part of the Responsible Business Alliance Validated Assessment Program. The U.S. and Vietnam locations achieved the highest VAP rating.
