SunDensity has a “breakthrough technology” for increasing PV panel efficiency. Their Photonic Smart Coating (PSC) is under-glass solar panel coating that allows for 20% more power generation. They claim to be the first company to zero in on improving the photonics of modules. The PSC tech works with any solar module and does not interfere with anti-reflective coating tech. It converts blue light that can’t be absorbed by the panels into red light that can be converted to electricity. SunDensity has just received $2.5 million in initial financing from Clean Energy Ventures, Luminate, and others.
