The Growing Renewable Energy and Efficiency Now (GREEN) Act is being looked at in the House once more (last time was in June last year). It includes extending the ITC for 5 years at 30% through the end of 2020, allowing direct pay for large projects claiming the ITC and establishing an ITC for energy storage tech. So far the Democratic membership of the House Ways and Means Committee has signed on, and co-sponsors say it is tapping the federal tax code to help combat the climate change and expand renewables.
