Apparently, US ESS cell manufacturing is predicted to reach 50GWh by the end of 2026. LG Energy Solution is ramping up production while Tesla and Canadian Solar are set to join other companies in cell manufacturing – therefore pushing capacity up to 20 GWh. The majority of ESS manufacturing still remains just for the modules or system assembly, with most companies using cells produced abroad.
