Two states make important policy moves

Two states adopted policies that would speed up solar growth in their states. The Massachusetts DPU issued an order to expand their solar incentive SMART program from 1,600 to 3,200 MW of capacity. This will allow dozens of stalled solar projects to move forward. And California offered a bill that, if passed, would mean significant adoption of the NREL SolarAPP+ that has been designed to streamline permitting for res installs and solar+storage systems. The Solar Access Act requires counties with 150,000+ number of residents in the state to see the app for online permitting.
