The DOE is providing tech assistance to 21 states for up to two years via their national labs to address grid modernization and energy transition issues. The projects and modeling will circle issues related to equity, adoption of solar and other DOEs, grid planning and resilience. This is occurring on top of The State Technical Assistance to Public Utility Commissions program and the residential Weatherization Assistance Program.
