SolarAcademy Journal: Power of Focus

Week 22.

Lots of good things happened last week. I was a guest speaker at my friend Fabrice Grinda’s YouTube series Playing with Unicorns. We talked about the State of Solar Energy. You can see the whole talk here.

Also, last week, I gave a private talk to some 20 or so of my old middle-and-highschool friends about the topic of Healing. The talk was mostly about psycho-spiritual and alternative healing modalities I have experienced in the past 4-5 years.  Both talks were received well and I received thank you’s from a number of friends for both talks.

This week’s goals:

  • Continue developing content and exploring MVP’s.
  • Move solar projects forward.
  • Look into fund structures for consolidating various investment opportunities.

To be honest, lately I have been feeling I am a little too widely spread out in my range of activities.

I know the general direction I am to advance my interests, projects, hopes, and dreams. But sometimes, I feel I am juggling more than a handful of projects at the same time and am feeling not focused enough.  Yet when I sit back and think about just focusing on one or two things more acutely, something is telling me that I should advance all the other areas as well. What are those areas and projects?

Well, number one is SolarAcademy. Solar news and daily posting and sharing of knowledge. The other is the creation of educational content for solar and beyond. The third is Enki Solar investments – basically angel investments in education, healthcare, tech, and cleantech. Fourth is community service aligned with the scope of Reinventing The Planet and its mission and initiatives like Cool California Challenge as well as the Peace on Earth Game and Imagine Program. On top of all this, I also want to be deeply involved in 2-3 solar focused companies at the board level, as a board advisor/coach to CEO position.

And when all things are not aligning in my world at the rate that I expect them, that is what I do. Focus on one or two.
