SolarAcademy Journal: Power Dynamics

It’s week 8 at SolarAcademy. We now have a 7 digit pipeline of projects and we seem to be getting busier and busier by the day.

Accomplishment last week:

  • Continued advising Solar Buyers and have started working a solution design to collaborate with local installers on some delivery options.
  • Gotten a high level understanding on the course content for our “Become a Solar Entrepreneur” course that we are planning to deliver in collaboration with our friends at HeatSpring
  • Developed a menu of Digital Marketing Services to offer to installers, engineering and EPC companies.
  • Continued coaching professionals who are looking to enter the solar industry

Things to do this week:

  • Negotiate with vendors and installers around our Solar Buyer’s Advisory Solution
  • Negotiate with installers around our Digital Marketing Services
  • Continue to re-organize content under various topic headings/sections and menu items

As I finish up this week’s post, I want to write a little about some of thoughts that are in my head. I have been thinking a lot about power. Power in all senses.  Our power. As humans. Individual power. Collective power. Empowering others. Grabbing power. Sharing power. And everything in between. How power behaves. How power begets power. How power likes to concentrate. How power corrupts. How absolute power corrupts absolutely. And then how power breaks or dissolves when it has concentrated too much. And then how the same cycle seems to happen again. As we enter a critical election for the US (and the world), I am curiously observing how power will behave this week.
