SolarAcademy Journal: Energy Exchange

Week 10 at SolarAcademy was one of those weeks. Some things got ignored, others moved forward and many new things got ignited. Startups looking for my time as an advisor and/or investor, other tech and int’l investment opportunities and connections, healing workshops, time with high school kids from Anatolian regions of Turkey talking about entrepreneurship (on Zoom)…  and all of that felt a bit overwhelming.

SolarAcademy accomplishments last week:

Things to do this week:

  • Start building the content outline for SolarAcademy’s Intro to Solar Entrepreneurship Course all modules (1-4). Finalize content for module 1. Plan to finish one module each of the next 3 weeks.
  • Re-organize content under various topic headings (still outstanding).

The one thought that is in my mind as I finish this week’s post is about Energy Exchange. I recently watched the movie Celestine Prophecy. There was a line in that movie that stuck with me:

“Energy is what we all want. We are stuck battling for it with each other instead of finding it in ourselves.”

In other parts of the movie, the story line helps explain how energy dynamics work. Only when we share control and stay connected (with our partners, community, and the world) without controlling others (in order to suck their energies usually by manipulating them with fear), is when we can have harmonious and equitable energy change and existence with each other.

This seems not quite like the energy and power dynamics of the world we see today, but also not that far from reach given the new connections and capabilities we are forming with new 21st century technologies.

This is a concept that I also remember reading about in Buckminster Fuller’s book Critical Path.
