Senate to vote on infrastructure bill

The infrastructure bill is ready for a vote in the Senate next week. It includes $150+ billion to support clean energy and forward “climate resilience” by shoring up schools and ports to be better able to withstand extreme weather events. But it fails to shift the energy economy that’s so heavily dependent on fossil fuels since it omits a Clean Electricity Standard. It also removes the Civilian Climate Corps, a project that pushes jobs for millions in conservation and renewables and helps with climate disaster recovery.
