ESS: first long-duration energy storage company to go public

The US has its first publicly traded long-duration energy storage company. Iron flow battery provider ESS Inc has begun trading on the NYSE. The company is the only global manufacturer of flow battery tech based on iron and saltwater electrolytes for C&I and utility-scale applications. Key relationships with companies like Enel Green Power España, SB Energy and Bill Gates’ Breakthrough Energy Ventures have helped bring ESS to this point.
