EPA wants to aggressively phase down greenhouse gases

The EPA is proposing regulations that institute a phase down of planet-warming gases used in ACs and refrigerators over the next 15 years. The plan is aimed at cutting down hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) by 85% by 2036, which is equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions from one out of seven US vehicles registered in the U.S. The EPA plan is supported by industry and environmental groups.
