Yesterday the Dept. of Commerce’s Office IV AD/CVD Operations rejected the anonymous petition from the American Solar Manufacturers Against Chinese Circumvention (A-SMACC) that requested a tariff circumvention investigation into Chinese solar panel companies in Southeast Asian countries. The main reason was because the petitioners chose to remain anonymous. Most in the industry are relieved as it would have caused more supply chain issues for utility scale projects as well as job loss.
