US manufacturer Endurans Solar is expanding its production capacity of HP backsheets. Their offering is fully recyclable given that it is lamination free. The company is in the final stages of selecting a site for its new manufacturing plant – with new line products out mid-2023. This, they say, is largely in response to the anticipated increased demand given the impact of the IRA.

A report has found that the transmission system must grow 2.3% annually (an increase of 1.3% from the last decade’s growth rate) in order to realize the full potential of the IRA’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction capabilities. The report sees significant increases in gas and coal-fired power plants production to meet energy demand otherwise.

Domestic production and consumption of renewable energy hit a record high mid 2022, according to the EIA. They report that renewables accounted for 13.84% of the U.S. energy produced and 13.65% of the energy consumed, passing energy produced by coal by more than 18%.
