Clean energy tech accounted for almost 87% of net new electric power generation jobs in America last year. There were more than 340,000 solar jobs nationally, with CA accounting for over one-third and MA coming in second with over 16,000. Next are TX and NY, with 15,000 jobs each.

DOE has launched the Community Energy Resilience Investment program, $200 million for grid improvements with $67.5 million going to CA for added energy storage, investment in efficiency, and improvement to the electric grid.

Their kickoff event on July 6 was attended by Biden.
