Companies are leveraging new IRA rules to successfully finance clean energy given that the new tax credit provisions could more than triple the $20 billion annual tax equity market. LONGi announced that it set a new world record with 33.9% efficiency for crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells, a fact certified by NREL. The company claims that this is definitive proof of the advantages of crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells over crystalline silicon single-junction solar cells around efficiency.

Analysis of solar PV module supply and price trends shows module prices falling and are predicted to continue to fall through to the end of the year. These falling upstream prices and weak demand in China in key export markets have resulted in the lowest prices ever recorded. One solar vet on record states there is “brutal competition” coming, and that “industry consolidation may see more momentum.”
