There are over 400 municipalities, counties, and regional organizations in 41 states with SolMart designation. SolSmart is a federally funded program assisting local governments in making going solar easier and cheaper. A recent study showed that SolSmart jurisdictions added 300-450 MW of solar capacity and 12,800-19,200 new installs across the US.  nationwide. The study also found that SolSmart sped up permitting an average of 7.5 days.
