A Colorado State University study determined that even with a 38% reduction in light availability, a C3 semi-arid grassland only reduced aboveground productivity and photosynthesis with solar arrays by 6%. This shows that grassland agrivoltaics show minimal difference in forage yield when compared with traditional growth.
