With the passage in the Senate of the $1 trillion infrastructure bill that included $73 billion in grid modernization and $7.5 billion for EV chargers, House Democrats are pushing for more clean energy spending. 180 of them requested clean energy tax credits, res electrification, and commercial and res energy efficiency improvements. They’re also asking for a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation package with a clean electricity payment program and tech accelerator, as well as consumer rebates for electrification.
