This startup is trying to solve carbon removal’s trust problem

Isometric, a carbon registry, is offering a new approach to verifying the authenticity of carbon credits and has scored some high-profile clients like JPMorgan Chase, Shopify and Stripe. What’s unique about them is that their payment model looks like this: buyers pay a flat fee to Isometric that is built into carbon removal purchase contracts (vs. other carbon credit registries that collect a per-credit fee from project suppliers as credits are delivered something criticized as a potential conflict of interest).
