SEG Solar opened a PV manufacturing base in Houston to produce the company’s high-efficiency 585W YUKON N series modules. It is fully operational and will have an annual 2 GW capacity. The production lines are compatible with 182 mm and 210 mm N-type cells.
Private equity firm Blackstone’s clean energy arm has acquired a majority stake of Westwood Professional Services, an engineering and design firm for renewable energy projects. Westwood’s management team and employee shareholders will retain a minority stake. Blackstone Energy Transition Partners has committed about $1.3 billion in energy transition-related equity investments thus far.

Wood Mackenzie is reporting that U.S. cumulative community solar will double by 2029, from less than 7 GW today to over 14 GW. They are forecasting a national growth rate of 5% through 2026 and an 11% contraction through 2029.
