The Trump administration is killing $20 billion in congressionally appropriated funding for solar power, energy efficiency, EVs, and other investments for U.S. companies and low-income communities across the country. This is money under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, a program created by the IRA.

According to Utility Dive, despite the Trump admin’s focus on fossil fuels and opposition to the IRA, analysts are anticipating that renewables will continue benefiting from high energy demand and IRA credits.

Recom Technologies unveiled their Lynx Series TOPCon PV Module, which has a rated power output of up to 720 W. Fit for large-scale projects, it is an n-type bifacial double-glass module with 23.18% efficiency rating, 30-year product warranty, 30-year linear power output guarantee, and is guaranteed to retain at least 87.4% of its nominal power output by EOL.

PV Mag compares the two main options for backup power, gas generators and battery energy storage systems. They look at factors like operational features, health hazards, power output, upfront cost, incentive programs, and length of lifetime.

SEIA and WoodMack are reporting 50 GW of new solar capacity installed last year, driven by historic gains in large-scale solar plants plus battery energy storage. Community and commercial solar markets also set annual records, growing by 35% and 8%, respectively.

In this Solar Conversation, Kerim Baran of SolarAcademy engages with Alex Shoer, Managing Partner of GridVest, to explore how the company is simplifying battery storage procurement. Positioned strategically between residential and utility-scale markets, GridVest focuses on the mid-tier commercial and industrial segment, offering a one-stop solution that bundles sourcing, financing, and technical services.
