An industry issue in need of more attention is inverter-based resource tripping – when significant amounts of solar capacity unexpectedly go offline because of an inverter-related electrical fault. Apparently, the problem needs to be addressed by developers, transmission owners, and policymakers in order to ensure that solar continues to be a reliable source of energy for Americans.
