As we all know by now, the ITC has been extended till 2023. But you may not know that if a customer installs solar+storage, the savings applies to storage if the energy used to charge the battery system comes entirely from solar, not from the grid. Also, according to the IRS, the ITC can be applied to a battery storage system if it is added within a year of the qualified solar install.
