Solar industry weighs in regarding Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force

Solar companies have submitted comments to the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security re the Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force about suggestions on how to make sure goods from the region made with forced labor don’t end up in our supply chain. SEIA, the American Clean Power Association, Clean Energy Associates and panel manufacturer First Solar were some of the orgs to submit. SEIA, for example, talked about public-private partnerships and multi-stakeholder processes focused on forced labor prevention as well as better trade facilitation for importers that sets up a way to verify a commitment to forced labor prevention.
