EnergySage’s latest report shows that resi solar and storage prices reached new all-time lows: solar prices dropped for the third consecutive six-month period to $2.50 per watt and quoted storage prices fell to $999 per kilowatt-hour stored. They also found that panels have continued to increase in power output: in H2 2024, 33% of quotes included solar panels with rated outputs above 450 W, up from just 1% in H2 2023.
