These sentiments have shaped Biden’s shift left since the primaries and have highlighted the ideological divide between Biden and Trump, as Trump continues to undo Obama-era policies and reject climate science. Earlier polling showed 78% Dems and Dem-leaning independents wanting climate change top of the list while just 21% Reps and GOP-leaning independents said the same.
