BLM is streamlining renewable energy development on public lands

The Bureau of Land Management is proposing to reduce acreage rents and capacity fees to promote solar and wind development on public land so as to promote financial predictability for developers seeking to build long-term projects on public land. They are looking to expand their ability to accept leasing applications in priority areas for renewables projects without first going through a full auction.
