Biden’s campaign got specific about his clean energy plan. It includes rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, convening a world summit to push carbon-emitting nations to make more ambitious pledges, and making climate change part of foreign policy, trade and national security strategies. Executive orders would include aggressive methane pollution limits, increased govt buildings efficiency, an activated Clean Air Act, boosted EV sales for larger vehicles, and implementation of land conservation protections. Biden would also establish a Task Force to help transition fossil fuel industry workers and put in place a “comprehensive environmental justice plan” to address the needs of disadvantaged communities, among other things.
