The CA Senate has passed a bill that taps the advantages of the Inflation Reduction Act’s impact on incentives for renters and low-income households. It creates a new community solar program that prioritizes these groups for subscription. It also requires the California Public Utilities Commission to consolidate or eliminate community solar programs that aren’t meeting their goals.

Zendure, a startup company in battery storage, has revealed a plug-and-play solid-state battery for the resi market for EV charging and backup power. The battery has 6.438 kWh capacity and each unit is scalable to four batteries. One unit capacity is 32 kWh while two units is 64 kWh. Apparently, the battery pack has 42% more energy than lithium-iron phosphate batteries.
