Canary Media looked at the state-level legislation this far this year and which way it leaned. As of June, 305 bills related to the siting of new clean energy developments had been introduced across 47 states. Of those, 148 would make it harder to build renewables, 68 would help wind, solar, or battery storage projects move forward. The remaining 89 would have a neutral or unclear impact.
